Mengku & ‘Big Snow Mnt’ is fairly well known for tea production, especially Puerh. This Black tea is 100% Spring material from 30-40 year old trees, which is surprising. I see many similarities between this and our (more pricey) Mu Shu Black. A sweetness that lingers on the finish and an almost apricot fruity note. Being thickly texured and rich in flavour there is also a nice amount of astringency to make this a spritely Hong Cha….a great ‘pick me up’.
