A classic recipe. Deep, bold with a creamy Menghai sweetness.
Personally, my favourite four numbers in Ripe Puerh tea. These cakes were sourced by us on our 2017 tea trip. The 8592 has the depth and broad character met with a creamy Menghai sweetness that I adore in a Ripe. These cakes although fairly new have rested in Humid Guangdong for 1 year. Any Du Wie (Fishy aroma) has dissapaited. Grab a great Ripe at a great price!
8592 unlocking the code:
In the Pre privatisation days the Menghai Tea Factory AKA (Dayi/TaeTea) was part of the CNNP group of national tea factories. All tea recipes under this group were not given names, just a code. The code may seem boring and uninteresting but it will actually give you an in depth idea about the tea cake!
85 signifies the year this recipe was first released
9 signifies the average grade of leaves (Puerh grades from 1-9, 1 being tippy buds through to 9 big course leaves)
2 signifies the factory / The government owned Menghai factory was number 2.
